This Royal Blue formal kimono set includes two fully lined kimonos. Your doll can wear them like one ensemble or like two individual kimonos. Or two dolls can wear these kimonos separately. The blue kimono is reversible.
My kimonos are vintage. All materials I'm using are authentic vintage kimono fabrics from Japan. Obi are made from real obi, obiage are made from real obiage. Obijime is handmade using Japanese kumihimo disc for braiding.
The kimono set is demonstrated on 62,5 cm doll Haru (Abadon/Luts). Thank you my dear friend Countess Audronasha [link] for borrowing your doll and taking photos. Thank you awesome boy Haru for posing so nicely.
This kimono fits 69~62 cm boy and girl dolls perfectly: SD, SD16, SD17, Luts SSD and SD, Iplehouse EID and SID, other large BJD. For smaller dolls to adjust the length make a fold on the waist (under the obi). Don't worry - this is a traditional way of kimono wearing.
This beautiful blue formal kimono set includes:
1. Inner white kimono.
2. Royal blue formal furisode kimono. Reversible.
3. Pretied silvery obi.
4. Obijime hand braided.
5. Obiage.
6. Two cotton ties with woven flowers.
The main kimono has rich royal blue color and it is variegated with hand painted flowers. Silk. I have paid a big attention to the collar – it is decorated with red braid. The lining is vivid colorful silk fabric from other outer kimono. As all seams are hidden inside, you can easily reverse this kimono and tadam! – you have absolutely different ensemble!
There is white inner kimono as well. It has woven pattern in traditional Asian style. White kimono is decorated with tiny golden stitches and small silver beads. So you can wear it not only like nagajuban (underwear) but as ornate outer kimono as well.
Pre-tied silvery obi is easy to put on. It is made from real girl's obi. It has small pattern so it fits for doll. Obi band is decorated with flower and pink ribbon.
Obijime is hand-braided. The lucky knot decoration is put on as well.
And obiage - it was sewn from real pink obiage. Shibori pattern.
